Soul-funk-jazz saxophonist and vocalist, Hope Clayburn and her band, Soul Scrimmage, have been creating energetic and danceable soulful grooves in the Memphis music scene for almost 20 years. They combine old school soul, funk and rock with tinges of jazz and world music to create a unique Memphis sound. Their show will get you tapping your feet and moving out of your seat.

Hope Clayburn is best known for her unique saxophone/flute playing that is inspired by legends like Maceo Parker, Charlie Parker and Bobbi Humphrey. She mixes her sax playing with her powerful soul-rock vocals influenced by the vocals stylings of Arthea, Prince,Tina and Stevie to make her a diverse and interesting musical force.
